QAP Requirements DCA-qualified Accessibility Consultant to monitor the project for accessibility compliance.
See the Contact Tab above for a Quote. All projects that receive allocations of funding must comply with DCA QAP accessibility requirements and all applicable Federal and State accessibility laws including but not limited to the laws set forth in the Accessibility Manual.
A "Plan Review" before construction starts and the Architect responds to the items needing correction if any and the plans adjusted to comply with all Federal & State Accessibility requirements. A Certification Letter of this will be forwarded to DCA at proj4ect completion. A Pre-Construction Meeting on site with Architect, General Contractor, Job Superintendent, and Owner Representative to discuss all requirements for the accessibility for the project. A Sub Contractor Training Session to discuss all accessible requirements needed from their subcontractor group that will affect accessibility (grading, concrete, framing, electrical, plumbing, sheetrock, and cabinetry) regarding accessibility requirements. One training must be on site. The Consultant will visit the site Four (4) times over the construction process to monitor all documents related to resolution of identified accessibility issues and the property is following the approved plans and specifications as to accessibility. At 100% complete the Consultant will determine that the project meets all accessibility requirements and provide the Owner with a "Clearance Letter" for submission of the project cost certification. |
